Beam served as Seagram's master distiller in 1975. He developed a new brand of whiskey called Eagle Rare Bourbon , which was distilled at the Four Roses Distillery in vats. The brand was then bought by Sazerac, who began producing it at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, in 1992.
